Helen M. Galemba age 96 of Bridgeport CT, beloved wife of the late Alphonse Galemba passed away peacefully on Thursday June 8, 2017 in Wells, Maine with her loving family by her side. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Michaels Seamon. She is survived by her son Thomas Galemba of Florida, daughters Cynthia Eaton and husband Frank of New Hampshire and Katherine Galemba of Maine. Helen was a Bridgeport resident for most of her life. Helen recently moved to Maine to live with her daughter. She worked in the garment industry and loved dressing up her children and was quite the stylish dresser herself. She retired from Kay’s Department Store in downtown Bridgeport. She enjoyed good food, dancing, socializing with her family and friends and most important the visits from her grandchildren.
Helen leaves behind two grandchildren Michael Galemba and Jill Beth Skidds and four great-grandchildren, Jacob, Jonathan, Jared and Jordyn Skidds. In addition to her husband and parents, Helen was predeceased by her grandson Gregory Galemba, sister Anna Karazulas and brothers George Seamon and Peter Seamon.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday July 8, 2017 at 10:30am in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. The Commerce Hill Funeral Home at 4798 Main St. Bridgeport has been entrusted with the services.
