Charlotte Lutka entered eternal rest Monday, May 15, 2017. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward T. and Frances S. Lutka, and her niece Susan Lutka Keough. She is survived by her only brother Ray and his wife Joan, with daughter Julia all of Oxford. Also, Her sister-in-law Jennie C. Frey of Waterbury and Ray and Jennie’s children, Linda Holcomb of Oakville, Sandra Skudlarek of Huntington, and Christine Curley of Stratford. Charlotte had many great nieces and nephews and one grand-nephew, which she adored and cherished. She is also survived by her loving Aunt, Florence Hominik of Clinton.
After many years of loyal service Charlotte retired from Thomas Murphy and Associates Insurance in Shelton. She loved to travel abroad, and had a very special place in her heart for Stowe, Vermont. Charlotte was a very strong support system to her parents, Edward and Francis, the group of them having earned the nickname “The Three Musketeers”, as you would rarely see one of them without the other two.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass and service Friday, May 19, 2017 at Saint James Church, 2070 Main Street, Stratford at 10:30 a.m. Interment at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford will follow the church service. The Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main St. Bridgeport has been entrusted with the services. In lieu of flowers Charlotte suggested that donations can be made to the American Brain Tumor Association, in honor of her niece Susan.
