Angeline MacLean, age 102, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 1, 2017. Born in Norwalk, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Quattone and Mary (Lombard) Quattone, Marone and Step father Joseph Marone. A Bridgeport resident for most of her life, she worked as an assembler for General Electric. After she retired from GE, she was the bartender at Panama Joe’s Café where she set the world record as oldest and longest bartender spanning two decades.
Angie is survived by, her brother Nick Quattone of Stratford, her daughter Joan (Tootsie) Nichols of N. Myrtle Beach, SC, her two sons John Nastasia Jr. and wife Ann of Shelton, Robert Nastasia and wife Pikun of Bridgeport, ten grandchildren: Cindy and husband Steve Moore, Linda and husband Scott Morgenstein, Donald Schroeder and wife June, Janis and husband Emile LaLiberte, John Nastasia, Jill Nastasia, Joanna Nastasia, Gina and husband Gabriel Zayas, Jonathan Nastasia and wife Joanna, Angela and husband Michael Syrett, three step-grandchildren: Marlene Ruiz, Thomas and Charlotte FitzSimons, several great-grandchildren. Angie was predeceased by her first husband John Nastasia and her second husband Donald MacLean and her sister Mildred “Millie" LaVarno.
Calling hours will take place on Sunday November 5, 2017 from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main St., Bridgeport. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 10 a.m. followed by interment in Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
