George C. Ilioff Sr. age 79 of West Haven, beloved husband of 49 years to the late Geraldine Scianna Ilioff died peacefully on Friday December 8, 2017. Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late George and Helen Duna Ilioff. A resident of West Haven for over 17 years, he was a retired employee of Dresser Industries where he worked for over 27 years and was a member of their Quarter Century Club. An avid fisherman, he enjoyed watching baseball games, walking on the beach, but most of all spending time with his family.
Survivors include his three children, George Ilioff and his wife Donna of Stratford, Nicholas Ilioff and his wife Lorrie of Derby, Lisa and her husband Joe Havran of Shelton, five grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, a brother Charles Ilioff and wife Patti of Milford, two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law, several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will take place on Sunday December 10, 2017 from 4 to 8pm in the Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main St. Bridgeport. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11am in the funeral home followed by interment in Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of their choice in memory of George.
