Eileen Stephanie Binette Bochino, age 91 and a long –time resident of Fairfield, passed away on February 26th, 2018. Eileen was born on November 14th, 1926 in New Britain, the eldest daughter of the late Aime and Ethel (Smith) Binette. Eileen attended St. Mary’s and St. Cyril’s Catholic Schools in Bridgeport. After many years of service, Eileen retired from CBT Bank in Fairfield.
Eileen thoroughly enjoyed singing along with Nat King Cole, Johnny Mathis, and all the big band standards. She had a love of cooking and a talent for preparing delicious family meals. She was a regular contributor to many causes, although Veterans and disadvantaged youth held a special place in her heart. Her life-long love of movies began in her youth at the Majestic Theater in Bridgeport. She also enjoyed warm weather weekends at Pleasure Beach. She was a member of St. George Orthodox Church in Trumbull.
Eileen was predeceased by her husband, Genaro Bochino, daughter, Cynthia Davis, grandson, Christian Iverson, sister, Barbara Binette, and brother, Charles Binette. Survivors include her children Jeffrey (Carol) Jaworski, Patricia (Domenic) Paniccia, James Bochino, Susan (Svein) Forlie, Michael (Janet) Bochino, Laurie (Timothy) Cain, 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and sister, Gloria Voytek.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 11am in St. George Orthodox Church, 5490 Main St. Trumbull with the Archpriest Dennis Rhodes officiating followed by interment in Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Calling hours will be held Friday morning from 9:30am until time of service in the church.
